On Monday, Elon Musk launched Grokipedia, an AI-powered alternative to Wikipedia.
This comes shortly after the billionaire told X last month that his xAI team was creating something that would be a «significant improvement to Wikipedia.»
Grokipedia.com went live on Monday afternoon, but some users reported experiencing errors on the site, Business Insider writes .
The page has a search bar on a dark background, and its font resembles the style of Wikipedia and ChatGPT. The homepage of the site states that Grokipedia is «version v0.1» and contains 885,279 articles.
For comparison, Wikipedia reported on its website that as of Tuesday, the English-language version had 7,081,705 articles.
Grokipedia does not have a Ukrainian version. For example, when you type the word «Ukraine», the site shows 33 results only in English.

The project is Musk’s latest attempt to challenge mainstream platforms that he sees as politically biased. Musk was once a supporter of Wikipedia, but in recent years has accused it of promoting liberal views and in January urged subscribers to «stop funding Wikipedia until balance is restored.»
