According to GamesBeat, citing four anonymous industry sources, GTA 6 is expected to be released on PC in the first three months of 2027. Rockstar itself has not yet officially commented on these plans.
The game is scheduled to be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on November 19. Traditionally, Rockstar releases its projects on consoles first, forcing PC players to wait. For example, Grand Theft Auto 5 was released in September 2013 on consoles and did not appear on PC until April 2015, while Red Dead Redemption 2 was released on PC a year after its console release.
If confirmed, PC owners will only have to wait a few extra months after the console release. Fans have also recently taken note of new modding guidelines from Rockstar, which has fueled interest in the PC version.
In addition to a possible PC release, news about the game’s multiplayer mode is expected in 2027. Speaking to Bloomberg, Twitch CEO Dan Clancy said that the platform’s viewership is expected to increase due to the launch of Rockstar’s multiplayer mode, although the studio has not officially announced it yet. The company has previously described GTA 6 as a mostly single-player experience.
