Norwegian YouTuber and professional gamer MrSavage (real name Martin Foss Andersen) has set a new world record in Fortnite. He eliminated an opponent while playing on a monitor located more than 1 km away on the other side of the Norwegian Sea. He used a telescope to do this.
MrSavage set the record for the longest elimination distance of 1,161.31 m in Fortnite using a telescope.
Martin looked through a telescope at the 32-inch monitor on which the game was being played, installed on the other side of the sea.
He has been playing Fortnite since its launch in 2017, but he has never played it as much as he did when he set the record.
To make matters worse, in Northern Norway, where he was, there were only three to four hours of daylight at this time of year, and the conditions were not the best, with rain and snow for part of the day. His hands were freezing, the temperature was -1°C.
His tactic was to find a gun, get to the house, and get someone else to follow him there.
After the 45th attempt, after eight long hours, his patience paid off.
