GUR hackers launched a cyberattack on Gazprom's infrastructure

As a result of the cyberattack, a large amount of databases was destroyed and special software was installed, Ukrinform reports, citing its own sources.
As a result of the operation, access to Gazprom's information system was disabled for system administrators (about 20,000 sysadmins), and software was installed on the servers, which will subsequently destroy the information system's data.
In addition, the following were destroyed:
- backup copies of Gazprom's information system data;
- databases of about 390 Gazprom subsidiaries and its branches, including Gazprom Teplo Energo, Gazprom Obl Energo, Gazprom Energozbyt and hundreds of others;
- data from 1C server clusters (10 extremely high-capacity servers) along with all files (contracts, orders, instructions) of Gazprom and its subsidiaries;
- data from auxiliary systems (data protection, server control, administration, and much more);
- databases of pipeline analytics systems, valves, sensors, pumps, etc. Servers with analytics of SCADA systems responsible for managing technical infrastructure have been removed;
- operating systems on available servers and BIOS is corrupted (servers will not turn on and will require physical intervention to resume operation).

Taking this opportunity, we congratulate Russian "cyber specialists" on another "achievement" and advise them to gradually replace mice and keyboards with hammers and chisels as the main tools of work," said the source from Ukrainian intelligence.
Recall that in January, specialists from the GUR cyber group already attacked Gazprom . The DDOS attack on the digital infrastructure of Russian companies was aimed at the online services of enterprises that support the activities of the Russian occupation army.
