“This is not a ‘gadget from the future.’ This is technology that should work for energy workers now.” DroneUA brought the Hypershell exoskeleton to Ukraine, and predicts over 200,000 users of the device in the coming years

DroneUA and Robotics Distribution have officially brought the world’s first commercially available exoskeleton, Hypershell, to Ukraine. Drone.ua co-founder Valeriy Yakovenko announced this on Facebook.
«What would happen if you reinforced the humanoid robot with an exoskeleton? Hypershell is officially available in Ukraine from DroneUA and Robotics Distribution,» he wrote .
According to Valeriy, the most helpful jobs will be in the energy sector.
«Ukrainian energy is hundreds of thousands of people who keep the country powered every day. Electricians, engineers, dispatchers, emergency crews are those who make sure there is light. Always. It is hard work. Physically. Sometimes — in the snow, in the rain, under the scorching sun. And even more often — in the mode of „it should have been yesterday“. That is why exoskeletons are not a „gadget from the future“. This is a technology that should work for energy workers now. We at DroneUA believe that robotic human reinforcement will become the standard for professions where the workload is constant and the price of error is high,» he noted.
Yakovenko predicts that in the coming years there will be 200,000+ Hypershell Ukraine users from DroneUA in the Ukrainian energy sector alone.
«Because we can say all we want, 'Ukrainian energy workers are gods.' But even gods sometimes need help,» he sums up.
How it works
Hypershell, a Chinese company, unveiled the world’s first commercially available artificial intelligence-based exoskeleton, designed to enhance mobility, endurance, and physical strength, in the spring of 2025.
The device, which weighs only 1.7 kg in the basic version, is designed for an active lifestyle, tourism and everyday tasks. Equipped with an intelligent MotionEngine system, the exosuit is able to adapt to the user’s gait within 0.03 seconds, helping when lifting, running and carrying heavy objects.
The system uses a 400g battery placed on the belt, which powers two motors on the hips. This achieves the effect of reducing the perceived load by up to 30%, while increasing leg strength by 40%. The device is able to compensate for up to 29.9 kg of weight, which significantly facilitates physical activity and reduces muscle fatigue. The maximum power reaches 800 W, and the torque is 40 Nm.
The line includes three models, the lightest of which is the version with a titanium frame weighing 1.7 kg. The exoskeleton provides up to 17.5 km of travel on a single charge, with a charge to 50% in just 35 minutes. Its resource is up to 4000 kilometers, with resistance to dust and moisture according to the IP54 standard, and the operating temperature range varies from -20°C to +60°C.
Control is carried out via the Hypershell+ application, and the exoskeleton itself adapts to different usage scenarios: from walking up stairs to riding on gravel.
