How censorship plays against the Russian Federation: Yandex gave away Russian military facilities in Moscow, blurring them on its maps
The Russian company Yandex, by order of the Russian Ministry of Defense, blurred out military facilities in Moscow on its map service, thereby revealing their location. At the same time, all these facilities are displayed on Google Maps. Now, behind the blurred spots, it is perfectly visible where exactly the military-industrial complex enterprises are located.

Yandex has blurred out military-industrial complex enterprises on the map of Moscow in its Yandex.Maps service, including the Avangard plant (which cannot even be found by name), the National Research Institute of Long-Radar Locations, and the Khrunichev Plant building complex. This is reported by the Russian independent online publication Sota.
At the same time, all of these objects are available on Google Maps. For example, in the photo below, the Avangard plant, blurred by Yandex, and a Google map, where it is perfectly visible.
At the same time, Yandex published several objects that were not marked as defense, the online publication notes.
Another Russian media outlet Astra claims that this was done by order of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Under this post, Russian users X write that blurred objects can also be found in other cities: in St. Petersburg, a large part of the Kirov Plant is blurred, along with a tractor factory and small private enterprises; Tolmachevo Airport in Novosibirsk, and others.
Russians themselves are surprised by the logic of their government - to blur objects that are perfectly visible on Google.
"The photos were taken over a year ago." Google commented on the accusations of the Center for the Prevention of Disinformation about the disclosure of the positions of military systems on satellite maps
