The first state service that uses artificial intelligence for automatic preliminary verification of documents has launched in Ukraine.
As reported by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, the registration of a veterinary license in e-Permit is now accompanied by automatic verification of documents using artificial intelligence.
«ePermit» is a state platform for submitting and processing applications for obtaining and making changes to permits and licenses.
When an entrepreneur submits an application on the Diia portal, ePermit works «behind the scenes»: it checks documents, helps state experts make decisions, and returns information about the outcome of the review back to Diia, the ministry reported.
At the same time, the new AI module automatically checks whether the submitted documents contain all the necessary data and whether there are any errors or inconsistencies.
«This reduces the number of rejections, speeds up the processing of applications, and gives state experts more time to make decisions that really require their attention,» the statement said. «All calculations are performed without transferring data abroad and in full compliance with current information security standards.»
The launch of the AI module in the veterinary license is just the first step, the Ministry of Economy reports. Its effectiveness will become the basis for further expansion of digital licensing and permitting procedures in Ukraine.
«This technology relieves state experts of routine checks and gives them more time for what is really important. For business, it means less bureaucracy and a faster start, and for the state, it means higher quality decisions,» said Oleksiy Sobolev, Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.
