The Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has added critical interceptor drones to the DOT-Chain Defence weapons marketplace. This information was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyshal.
"Technology works for the front. Each unit must be able to respond quickly to challenges and receive the best equipment," the message says.
A key innovation is the introduction of the principle of autonomy and trust. From now on, Defense Forces units can independently select and order the necessary interceptor drones directly through the DOT-Chain Defence IT system, using state funds and without unnecessary approvals.
Currently, drones from three Ukrainian manufacturers are available on the marketplace. It is noted that three more companies will be contracted in the near future, which emphasizes the Ministry of Defense's investments in the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex.
Previously, Denis Chumachenko, a service representative for the drone developer Deviro, doubted the correctness of the Ukrainian government's decision to transfer the production of interceptor drones under the state project to private companies.
