From a few hours to a few days: in southern Russia and Crimea, mobile internet will be turned off using Ukrainian drones

The Crimean authorities have warned of a mobile Internet outage in the south of the Russian Federation and the peninsula itself, which could last from several hours to several days.
"Mobile Internet will be turned off in a fan-shaped manner from the center in the south of the Russian Federation and in Crimea - outages in the Black Sea region may last from several hours to several days," the Crimean operational headquarters said in a statement.
These measures are being implemented through Ukrainian drones. "So that the enemy cannot control and guide its drones, which operate in different environments," the Crimean authorities note.
The mobile Internet shutdown also affects large cities in Crimea — Simferopol, Yalta, and Yevpatoria.
Residents and tourists are recommended to use city, office, home connections and Wi-Fi to access the Internet, call a taxi, and use banking applications. Calls and SMS will be available.
In July, the Internet in Russia was shut down a record number of times, writes the BBC Russian service.
If in May Russians faced 69 internet outages, then in July there were already 2,099. For the most part, these are partial outages: in some parts of the city the internet works, and in others it doesn't.
