Renewable energy is now available for investment in Ukraine. What is known about the new investment platform Varto?

Ukraine has launched Varto, an investment platform for investing in energy assets, namely, operating wind farms in the Transcarpathian region. Previously, access to them was limited and open only to large players or through expensive deals.
Varto's investment strategy focuses on projects that have a physical basis and a transparent earnings model, the project's press service reports.
Among the first assets are two operating multi-megawatt class wind turbines in the Transcarpathian region. Their total capacity is 10.4 MW. The facilities have already been put into operation, connected to the power grid and involved in the sale of energy on market terms.
The project developer is US Wind and Solar, an investment company with expertise in implementing renewable energy projects. The wind turbines are operated by the operator Wind Parks of Ukraine, which has 15 years of experience and the largest portfolio of commissioned wind power plants in Ukraine.
About the platform's investment model
Profit is generated by selling electricity generated by wind farms and supplied to the general grid. By monitoring the sales of each kilowatt, profitability becomes predictable - with minimal risks for the investor.
The average projected return on the project is 14.29% per annum in euro equivalent, taking into account the subsequent sale of the asset. Payments are made quarterly. The financial model and return scenarios have been audited by the international company Kreston. All investments are made through a licensed broker UNIVER Capital. The minimum investment threshold is from UAH 122,000.
With the help of the platform, users can independently monitor key indicators of their investments - data is updated on the platform every week. In online mode, you can track wind speed, the amount of electricity generated and cash flows, which provides investors with full control and transparent reporting.
"In addition to wind turbines, in the future the platform plans to open access to new types of assets: energy storage systems, industrial facilities, and other infrastructure with predictable cash flows," says Rostyslav Kulchytsky, CEO of Varto, about the prospects and expansion of the portfolio.
The project team also emphasized that this is a way to combine financial benefit with a real contribution to the recovery of Ukraine: "capital works to launch and scale up "green" generation, and the investor receives regular payments or income from the growth in the value of the asset."
"Creating a full-fledged internal cycle of wind turbine production." A domestic enterprise has produced the first blade for a wind turbine. What consequences could this have?
