The pre-financing round was led by Expeditions Fund and Superangel, joined by Freedom Fund, Sunfish Partners, Crosscourt Ventures and Material Ventures.
Sky Spy announced that its first product, Agent 001, has successfully passed battlefield testing in Ukraine. The system determined the geographical location of Russian emitters, including UAV control stations and electronic warfare assets.
The startup was founded by a Ukrainian team that currently operates in the US and EU countries.
«Sky Spy was created by people who saw firsthand how unreliable intelligence costs lives. Our mission is simple: to provide the armed forces with the ability to monitor the spectrum in real time, because the side that controls the spectrum controls the war,» said Arseniy Gurtovtsov, CEO of Sky Spy.
Agent 001, which transforms small drones into autonomous spectrum-searching devices, combines RF reconnaissance with visual confirmation. It detects, classifies, and locates radio transmitters in real time, providing useful information in environments where traditional systems fail.
The system uses proprietary filtering algorithms and special radio frequency equipment. It is noted that Agent 001 performs a full cycle of signal processing on board, which allows it to respond instantly without external computing resources. The device weighs just over 500 grams.
