Since its creation, the IT Coalition has already attracted over 1.2 billion euros to develop the technological capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This became known following the results of the regular meeting of the IT coalition in Stockholm, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reports.
During the meeting, its participants, in particular, agreed on new ways to accelerate technology procurement for the Ukrainian army and on additional funding for the digitalization of the defense sector.
The Ministry of Defense reminds that, thanks to partners, Ukrainian units recently received tactical-level telecommunications kits, as well as satellite and mobile communication equipment from Estonia, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland.
The Ministry of Defense expressed special gratitude to Germany for its contribution to the development of radio communication systems and support for digital projects. In addition, thanks to the support of the IT Coalition, the Ministry of Defense is currently deploying the Impulse system.
The IT Coalition currently includes more than 15 countries, with Estonia and Luxembourg as the coalition’s lead countries.
As dev.ua previously wrote, the IT coalition includes a special group of states within the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine (the «Ramstein» format). Its goal is to support the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the field of IT, communications, and cybersecurity.
At the end of September 2023 , Ukraine, Estonia, and Luxembourg launched an IT coalition.
