Python, Fullstack, and C++ developers began to be hired more in the second quarter of 2025. How IT salaries have changed over the past three months
During April-June, 26,900 vacancies were published on Djinni. This is 300 more than in the previous three months, and 2,300 more than in the same period in 2024. Marketing and Fullstack lead the top five in terms of the number of vacancies published.

Number of vacancies: by experience and categories
In the second quarter of 2025, the most vacancies for candidates were published on Djinni:
3 years of experience — 7,300;
1 year of experience — 6,600;
2 years of experience — 6,000.
There were fewer vacancies in 5 groups of categories compared to the first quarter:
Leadership: -5%
Development: -3.7%;
QA: -2.7%;
Management: -1%;
Creative and Gaming: -0.1%
The graph below shows the categories by number of posted jobs.
Marketing remains consistently in first place. The Fullstack category also shows steady growth.
It was in the second quarter that the number of vacancies increased: Data Analyst, Data Science, and Recruiter.
Decreases were shown by: Sales, Node.js, and QA Automation.
Median salaries
Developer salaries:
IT specialists with over 7 years of experience are the only ones who were paid less in the second quarter of this year: the decrease occurred from $4,900 to $4,500.
The salary has not changed for IT professionals with 1 year of experience ($600) and 3-4 years of experience ($2,500).
The salary increase is observed for developers with 2 years of experience (from $1,200 to $1,300) and 5-6 years of experience (from $3,800 to $4,000).
As for other categories, there has been a noticeable increase in salaries for middle-level analytical specialties: the median salary is now $3,000, compared to $2,400 last year. Managers' salaries have also increased at almost all levels, while marketers' salaries have decreased.
Hiring
Top 5 categories hired in Q2 2025:
JavaScript — 215 candidates hired;
QA — 148;
Design — 122;
Python — 100;
Marketing — 93.
All of these categories, except Python, had higher hiring statistics in 2024.
Fullstack also shows an increase in hiring in 2025: last year the figure was 41, this year it is 69.
Reviews
Top categories by number of job reviews:
JavaScript — 57 (almost unchanged year over year);
QA — 39 (a year ago it was 58);
Design — 31 (was 39);
Project Manager — 27 (there were 22 and this is one of the few categories where there were more reviews);
Java — 26 (was 29).
Compared to last year, there were more reviews for full-stack jobs (20 vs. 14 a year ago) and devops jobs (15 vs. 12). Reviews in the Recruiter category almost halved over the year (from 16 to 9).
Among developer jobs, C++ jobs still receive the fewest reviews. Security, Marketing, Lead, and Data Engineer jobs also receive less than 7 reviews per month.
Miltech vacancies
This quarter, Djinni posted twice as many Miltech jobs as last quarter. As of early July, there are over 200 vacancies in search.
Of the usual categories, C++ or Embedded or Python are most often found there, but they are also looking for project managers and developers. And there are relatively few reviews for them, certainly fewer than the average for the category.
