“Somewhere in ATB, a security guard is laughing.” In Ukraine, a web design agency based in London is looking for IT specialists with a salary of 12,000-18,000 UAH

One of these vacancies was shared on LinkedIn by developer Anatoliy Yakovenko. It was for a Full Stack Java Script programmer for remote work with 15,000 - 17,000 UAH depending on experience.

“Everything about this job is great — from the pay level to the range.
That is, if I have little experience — 15,000 UAH, if a lot — 17,000 UAH. Hmm… Junior — 15k UAH, Middle — 16k UAH, Senior -17k UAH. Somewhere, in ATB, a security guard is laughing,” Yakovenko wrote.

In the comments, IT people doubted and began to suggest that maybe it was a weekly salary or that you had to work 10 hours every week.

But the conditions clearly state: Mon-Fri schedule from 09:00-17:00, work from home or co-working, stable earnings of 15,000-17,000 UAH (depending on experience), increase every 3 months subject to target achievement.

The requirements for the candidate are as follows:

• full understanding and knowledge of the Wix platform will be a plus;
• the code will be in Velo, which is 90% JavaScript-like;
• The work includes Back-end and Front-end elements.

And most importantly, "X years of work experience is not important. Understanding and ability to write code is important," the job description says.

For this salary, the programmer will write code and develop website functionality on the Wix platform (via API) in the Velo language, create Wix Blocks, and work together with the project manager, CEO, and other programmers.

This above-mentioned vacancy was opened 4 days ago by the web design agency Davydov Consulting , which has been on the market since 2021 and is based in London - so it says in the ad.

This company has several more vacancies for remote work:

• Wix Web designer , 12,000 — 16,000 UAH, Mon-Fri from 09:00-17:00, inflexible schedule — emphasized in the description;

Almost all of these vacancies are also posted on DOU , but the salary is listed in dollars and ranges from $285 to $400.

On work.ua, in addition to these vacancies, the company is also looking for an HR manager with a salary of 10,000 - 12,000 UAH + bonus.

According to YouControl , the company is indeed registered in London under the name of Oleg Davydov, who is listed as a director and whose country of residence is England.

Under a post on LinkedIn, Python Developer Yevhen Kvyatkivskyi wrote: "I once also made a similar screenshot, and in the comments they politely hinted to me that the employer market is not worth trying right now, but you have to take what they give."

At the same time, Full Stack Engineer Ivan Zheleznyak noted: "I opened a vacancy and didn't see anything terrible - it's not a bad option for people without experience to start in IT."
