One of the world's leading developers of unmanned technologies, the Japanese corporation Terra Drone, has announced a strategic partnership and investment in the Ukrainian company Amazing Drones. The deal, made through its subsidiary Terra Inspectioneering, is aimed at scaling up the production of the latest interceptor drones, which were born and tested directly in war conditions.
Amazing Drones specializes in creating solutions that are optimally adapted to the conditions of intense electronic warfare (EW). Their developments are positioned as a mass and cost-effective alternative to traditional high-cost air defense systems.
For Terra Drone, this agreement is an important step in the formation of a new global defense infrastructure. The corporation's CEO Toru Tokushige said that he personally came to Ukraine to assess the level of engineering expertise of local specialists.
“Combining Amazing Drones’ practical experience gained in real combat conditions with Terra Drone’s expertise in mass production and quality control is an important step in shaping a new generation of defense infrastructure,” Tokushige emphasized.
In turn, Amazing Drones CEO Maksym Klymenko emphasized the company's development path:
“What started as a volunteer initiative of engineers and military personnel has now grown into a critical manufacturing hub dedicated to protecting our nation. Partnering with a global company like Terra Drone is an important step in moving from prototyping to sustainable mass production. I am confident that Mr. Tokushige’s experience in scaling up production, combined with Terra Drone’s global presence, will provide the foundation for our technology to take the field to the international level.”
Terra Drone intends to further expand its operations in Ukraine. Building on Ukrainian combat experience and its own international expansion capabilities, the company plans to accelerate the development and supply of a wide range of unmanned systems.
In addition to interceptor drones, the partners will focus on reconnaissance wings, FPV drones and unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) to meet the growing global demand for effective defense technologies. The exact amount of investment was not disclosed.
