The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a number of decisions aimed at supporting and scaling up the domestic defense-industrial complex.
This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Serhiy Koretsky.
A key innovation was the involvement of private business in the construction of protected infrastructure facilities. From now on, private companies have the right to build underground production facilities with the possibility of further leasing or selling them directly to arms manufacturers.
Speaking about this decision, Koretsky noted: "In practice, this means that from today, private companies can build and in the future lease or sell such facilities to enterprises that directly produce weapons. This will simplify and increase the amount of space needed, especially against the background of the intensification of Russian strikes."
The second set of government decisions concerns optimizing the supply of components for weapons production financed by international aid. The government has introduced a mechanism that allows the import of such components with exemption from import duty and VAT.
In addition, the government is significantly streamlining bureaucratic processes when crossing the border for defense cargo.
"It is very important that for business we simplify and significantly shorten the procedure for inspecting and customs clearance of goods through a "single window," Koretsky emphasized.
