Beskrestnov refers to data from the Main Intelligence Directorate, which published the components of a new Russian UAV used as a decoy and reconnaissance vehicle.
«The aircraft has a delta-wing fuselage, similar to the Shahed-136 („Geran-2“), but much smaller. All components and blocks are of Chinese origin», — the GUR notes within the framework of the WAR&SANCTIONS project.
«Shaheds will become controllable… This type of UAV has a powerful radio modem. The use of RFD900x data transmission modems in conjunction with the Pixhawk flight controller provides for remote control of the UAV via a data transmission channel or control of many drones equipped with the same type of modems (swarm principle) at once», — says «Flash».
GUR specialists reported that the «little shahed» had a Chinese copy of the Australian RFD900x data transmission module from the RFDesign company. It is designed for long-distance data transmission (up to 40 km in line of sight, depending on the antenna).
«Now, using the example of this UAV with modems and the example of Gerber with modems, we can conclude that our enemy is probably preparing to equip some of the „shaheeds“ with radio control. That is, the shaheeds will be able to communicate with each other, work as signal repeaters for each other, and be controlled by radio», — warns Sergey Beskrestnov.
According to him, this will give Shahed the ability to attack moving targets, see the operation of air defense systems in online mode, conduct reconnaissance, and also attack targets in locations where Ukrainian electronic warfare systems do not allow the use of GPS.
Earlier, Flash reported that Russian engineers expected the massive use of Ukrainian anti-aircraft UAVs against Shahed suicide drones. According to him, they have already prepared a countermeasure solution that can be quickly installed on the Shaheds.
