Two organizers, who were developers of malicious software, and the main participants of this group were exposed in Ukraine and the EU.
As the investigation found , the attackers sent phishing emails with malware embedded in them to gain access to their victims' computers.
After the “hack,” they stole users’ personal data stored on victims’ computers. They then used it to steal funds from victims’ electronic accounts and virtual asset wallets.
The defendants also sold their own programs on hacker forums, including to Russian intelligence agencies controlled by them.
During searches of the homes of the suspects in Ukraine and the EU, computer equipment, mobile phones, crypto wallets, and flash drives containing evidence of crimes were seized.
An investigation is currently underway to bring to justice all individuals involved in the group's activities.
