«We can see from the previous figures that in hryvnia equivalent it is almost a quarter more than last year. We will have fresh data by the end of November. On the one hand, the amount of taxes does not decrease, but even increases, on the other hand, we feel a certain pressure in matters of reservations and recognition of criticality,» said the executive director of Kharkiv IT Cluster Olha Shapoval in an interview for MG «Objektiv».

7% of the citizens of Kharkiv Oblast serve in the ranks of the Armed Forces, and only 1% of the total number is reserved.

It’s not a question of booking everyone, it’s a question of reassuring the client, so that he is absolutely sure that his order will be fulfilled here and that it does not need to be sent, for example, to Poland, the Czech Republic or some other country,» says Olga Shapoval
For the IT sector, a reservation is available for residents of «Diya.City», which has been suspended. This was the only option for IT companies to book. Currently, there are companies in the region that have applied, but have not yet received a reservation.
«We are very glad that we still allowed rebooking for those who received reservations before May 31. Because there was a government decision that they can continue booking, but in a paper version, and not in „eReservation“. The paper version is not so convenient, and it takes longer to physically work with it in the ministries to process it. Because the system processes it automatically — if the information is correct, it provides a reservation,» added the head of the Kharkiv IT Cluster.
The problem with new contracts
A certain number of foreign customers are not ready to conclude new contracts where they do not see opportunities for booking. IT specialists do not have the opportunity to go abroad on a business trip to meet with customers.
Shapoval also emphasized the need to introduce a mechanism that would provide an opportunity for Haitians to travel abroad. For example, a deposit or criminal liability.
«Because the media show customers every day that we are being bombed here every day. Is it true? Truth. But it seems to them that we are all gone, they have already killed everyone, do you understand? When they say: „Let Vasyl come to me“, and Vasyl cannot come, then they think: „Maybe Vasyl is dead, or maybe his avatar is talking to me.“ Do you understand? These issues need to be solved with reservations and with „e-Trips“, because we are losing an entire industry at the moment, we are losing 5-6% of the export capacities of the whole of Ukraine every month. This is an immediate negative for the economy,» says Shapoval.
