Cyberpolice warn about phishing messages on behalf of postal operators: here's how the fraudulent scheme works

This was reported by the Cyber ​​Police.

The scheme works as follows:

• the user receives a message from an unknown number stating that the package is delayed due to an incorrect address or that the delivery address needs to be confirmed;
• the message contains a link supposedly for correcting or confirming data, but in reality it is a phishing site created to collect personal and banking data;
• people who click on the link and enter their data are actually handing it over to scammers;
• Fraudsters can then use this information to hack social media accounts, access online banking, and later steal funds.

Cyberpolice reminds that you should always check information only on official resources: a website, an application, or you can call the phone number listed on the official website. But in no case should you enter personal or banking information when clicking on dubious links from messages, instant messengers, or emails.
