One of the Verkhovna Rada deputies blocked the vote on the law on cyber forces, as reported by deputy Oleksandr Fedienko.

«The law that the military has been waiting for so long, on cyber forces, is not being brought to the parliament. Despite the fact that all factions support this bill,» he emphasized.

As dev.ua managed to find out, it is about Maryana Bezugla. According to Fedienko, she submitted 1,000 spam edits and is «trying to use this situation for her own benefit through blackmail.»

«A deputy who has not worked on a single fundamental law in almost seven years. She has not registered or passed a single systemic law as a people’s deputy,» he emphasized.

The news that the bill has been blocked again for an unknown amount of time outraged hacker groups that supported the creation of cyber forces with their resources.

«You won’t believe it, but we ended up on the same side with Oleksandr Fedienko on the issue of adopting the law on cyber forces… Sanya, on this issue: we are with you, there are cyber forces, there is no law. It must be adopted,» wrote white hat hacker Mykyta Knysh on his HackYourMom channel.

«There are more F-16 pilots in Ukraine than hackers who can carry out an operation from start to finish. Pass that damn law that is trying to creep onto the agenda again, as it is, and don’t interfere with people’s work. Otherwise, it turns out somehow strangely — there are cyber forces, but there is no law,» wrote the famous hacktivist Sean Townsend on his TG channel.
