Economy Minister Oleksiy Sobolev reported on an increase in reserved specialists in 2025. He noted that reservations affect mobilization and that there is currently a balance.
Sobolev spoke about this at the discussion «New Country: Key Issues», writes Lb.ua.
«In fact, bookings have grown over the last year. We had about a million people booked, now we have about a million three hundred,» the Minister of Economy pointed out.
According to him, the military has been requesting a reduction in the number of reservations. However, this also has a positive effect on the economy, as it encourages workers to come out of the shadows.
«People who are booked are leaving the gray employment market. This has allowed us to raise the requirements for companies that book workers, in particular for the average salary. This has freed up tens of billions of funds,» says Oleksiy Sobolev.
Recall that the number of reserved IT specialists has also increased in Ukraine. According to the Kharkiv IT Cluster, today approximately 18,000–20,000 IT specialists have reservations. For comparison, in June 2025, the number of reserved IT specialists was estimated at 15,000–18,000 specialists.
