Platform company Kiss My Apps, together with LEZO, introduced onboarding for employees in the metaverse. The developers claim that this is the first such case in the Ukrainian IT industry.
The press release notes that onboarding in the metaverse is built on game mechanics and interactive interaction. New employees can get to know colleagues through avatars, take tests in the form of quests, and collect collectibles to unlock secret rooms.
«Our space is a mix of cyberpunk, a bar „for your friends“ and a party atmosphere, where there is even a dance area with an NPC character, and the music is provided by Kiss My Radio. The idea was simple: to make onboarding technological and similar to a video game, where getting to know the company is interactive and fast,» said Bohdan Kolyubaev, PR & Communication Lead Kiss My Apps.
The team gained experience working with the metaverse in collaboration with Projector Institute and LEZO within the Meta Khata project. Now, for the first time in Ukraine, Kiss My Apps has integrated these developments into the onboarding format.
The metaverse is only available to company employees and serves as the first point of entry into the team and a way to integrate into internal processes.
Kiss My Apps previously introduced Kiss My Radio, a series of Spotify playlists created specifically for IT professionals. The ironically titled selections are intended to serve as a musical backdrop for coding, marketing, design, and product management.
