The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has officially codified the new ground robotic complex «Lynx+» from the Ukrainian defense tech company ROBONEERS. This allows the start of its state procurement for the needs of the Defense Forces.
This was reported to dev.ua by representatives of the development company. The new modification of the Lynx was developed taking into account combat experience and should fill the niche of front-line logistics and evacuation over long distances.
Compared to previous versions of the «Lynx+» line, it has an increased load capacity of up to 350 kg. This allows for the transport of ammunition, provisions, or the simultaneous evacuation of two wounded in a special cushioned basket in one trip. One of the key design features of the platform is the automatic load dumping function, which allows the robot to unload remotely, without involving personnel in the danger zone.
The robotic complex is capable of covering up to 80 km on a single charge with a mission radius of up to 40 km in one direction. The developers also took into account the feedback of the military, who are already using the equipment at the front: they increased the body area, ground clearance and speed, while reducing the silhouette of the power units for better maneuverability and camouflage. In addition, at the request of the soldiers, a remote control function for the headlights was integrated.
Earlier, it became known that the Ukrainian developer of unmanned technologies Roboneers and the German startup ARX Robotics are joining forces. The companies have created a joint venture, ARX Industries, which will engage in the serial production of ground robotic complexes (NRCs) «Lynx Pro».
