First Deputy Minister of Justice Mykola Kucheryavenko spoke about the restoration of state registers after a large-scale cyberattack by the Russian Federation.
According to him, the work of critical registers has already been restored, but the registers of encumbrances and movable property, and the register of enforcement proceedings are still being restored. The launch of all services is planned by the end of January.
«Unlike the state register of civil status acts or the Unified State Register, which were restored in stages, these registers can only be restored simultaneously due to their close interdependence,» Kucheryavenko explained.
Recall that on December 19, Ukraine suffered the largest cyberattack on state registries in recent times. As a result of the attack carried out by Russian hackers, the work of key systems of the Ministry of Justice was temporarily suspended.
Recently, Olga Stefanishyna, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration — Minister of Justice, spoke about the creation of a mechanism to protect state registers from cyberattacks.
Former Minister of Justice Malyuska on the consequences of the Russian cyberattack on state registers: «There is no serious problem in the Russians deleting registers.» Most of the information, according to him, was already freely available
