This is reported by the Ministry of Strategic Industry and Trade, pointing to the amendments developed by the ministry to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated March 3, 2021 No. 234 «On Approval of the Procedure for the Development, Development and Production of New Types of Defense Products, as well as the Termination of the Production of Existing Types of Such Products.»
«Software components of products, defense IT solutions, military command and monitoring systems, and situational awareness programs are now recognized as an integral part of weapons, military and special equipment,» the Ministry of Strategic Industry and Trade notes.
These changes allow for the conclusion of a state contract with the Defense Ministry’s Joint Stock Company or another state customer, but still require «adjustment of mechanisms.» In particular, for this purpose, a procedure for codifying computer programs recognized as a component of military equipment will be developed, the Ministry of Strategic Industry and Industry notes.

Developers of such software will also gain access to government services used by defense manufacturers. In particular, this is the opportunity to obtain critical status and, accordingly, reserve up to 100% of employees, and take advantage of the affordable loan program for defense manufacturers — at 5% per annum.
Other government services and simplifications that will appear in the future will also be available to software developers.
«To win, we need modern weapons. Today, software components and software that allows the means to work effectively occupy an important place in the system of weapons and military equipment. Thanks to the amendments to the resolution, we equate manufacturers of such programs with manufacturers of hardware components, which gives them access to the services that we offer to all our gunsmiths,» said Anna Gvozdiar, Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine.
Recall that at the end of January, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced the opening of access to the Mission Control module for all users of the DELTA combat system. Previously, it was available to 300 units that had performed more than 200,000 missions in it.
