Acting Minister of Digital Transformation Oleksandr Bornyakov, as well as the ministry itself, have voiced their official position regarding «systemic public attacks by People’s Deputy Danylo Hetmantsev.»

Bornyakov called this a «systemic campaign to discredit the Ministry of Digital Transformation,» based on «manipulations, substitution of facts, untrue statements, and outright lies.»

He also links this to Hetmantsev’s conflict of interest.

«We view these attacks as a conflict of interest and political pressure on the reform of the gambling and lotteries sector, which the Ministry of Digital Economy and Finance began a year ago. And it is indicative: the more real changes occur in market regulation, the more aggressive this campaign becomes,» he emphasized.

In turn, the website of the Ministry of Digital Transformation has conducted a separate thematic analysis of a number of accusations made by Hetmantsev.

In particular, they commented on the accusations that Mykhailo Fedorov was responsible for coordinating KRAIL, and the Ministry of Digital Affairs is ignoring the launch of DSOM from 2022. The ministry also provided an extended explanation regarding the «fake competition for licenses for lottery operators», as well as the fact that the Ministry of Digital Affairs allegedly determined that players set their own limits on the game.

Among other accusations that the Ministry of Finance denied are that PlayCity allegedly blocks illegal sites after only a few months, and also «does not fine gambling organizers for illegal advertising.»
