Ukrainian developers have created a service that allows you to evaluate the vibe of players in CS2
In Ukraine, a browser extension called Karmageddon was created, which works on the web version of the FACEIT platform and allows you to evaluate the behavior of teammates in Counter-Strike 2 after each match. This allows you to avoid toxic players in the future.
In Ukraine, a browser extension called Karmageddon was created, which works on the web version of the FACEIT platform and allows you to evaluate the behavior of teammates in Counter-Strike 2 after each match. This allows you to avoid toxic players in the future.
«I’ve been playing Counter-Strike for 10 years and, like everyone else, I’m pretty tired of all types of toxic teammates. So my partner and I set out to figure something out and developed the Karmageddon extension for FACEIT, which allows you to evaluate the behavior of teammates,» the service developer said on Reddit.
FACEIT is a London-based esports platform that hosts esports tournaments in online games, including Counter-Strike 2. It also allows you to play CS2 with other users of the platform and has its own ranking system.
After a match, Karmageddon lets you choose an emoji that matches the player’s vibe: Toxic, Negative, Meh, Chill, Awesome (for now in English). The rating will always be displayed next to the player on FACEIT and will help you decide who you can still play with and who you should avoid.
«In the extension, you can see everyone you’ve already rated, sorted by vibe; the data is stored locally on the device. You don’t need to log in — just add the extension and go to FACEIT,» the developer explains how the extension works.
According to him, the service launched in open beta last week and has already received negative feedback from a player from Russia. «Our mascot is Karma the chicken, who has seen everything in CS and a little more, and is starting her revenge with toxics. Karma never forgets,» added the author of Karmageddon.
