The state-owned company Ukrzaliznytsia announced that tickets for the «3000 km across Ukraine» program are already available in its application. What routes are available at the first stage and how to use the program?
In December, the initiative will operate in test mode on trains to all front-line regions, Ukrzaliznytsia said. The program allows the use of 3,000 km of trips during off-peak periods when there are free seats. Ukrzaliznytsia will offer them in reserved seats, coupe cars, regional trains, and 2nd class Intercity.

You can get up to four trips totaling 3,000 km, and you can set off on your journey from Friday, December 5.
You can only issue a ticket for yourself and your child. It is not possible to issue one for adult relatives or friends, but the functionality will be further developed. Children from 5 years old also receive their own 3,000 km. To do this, they must be added to the user’s account in «Actions».
The program covers only the cost of travel. Bed linen, tea, transportation of animals, luggage and other additional services are paid separately. Kilometers cannot be monetized, they are valid only for travel. 3000 km does not have to be used in December 2025 — Ukrzaliznytsia will offer the largest number of seats primarily in the low season (January, February, October, November)
The unused balance of 3,000 km across Ukraine can be converted into bonus «hugs» in the Ukrzaliznytsia loyalty program «Iron Friends». This functionality will appear in the application in 2026.
