Kyivstar considers fintech and e-commerce to be the two most attractive sectors for future deals. In the e-commerce sector, the company is in talks with the electronics and home appliance store chain Comfy.
This is reported by Forbes Ukraine, citing its own sources, including three top managers in the online retail market and one from the investment sector.
A top manager of one of the online retailers told the publication that talks about a possible deal between Kyivstar and Comfy have been going on since the middle of this summer.
Forbes Ukraine's interlocutor from the investment market said that Comfy has long been open for sale, as the company's owner, Stanislav Ronis, lives and builds a large business abroad.
The companies' negotiations are still at a very early stage, sources said, but if a deal goes through, the process could take about two years.
Kyivstar declined to comment, calling it “market rumors.” Comfy had not commented at the time of publication.
Comfy's website states that the company is the No. 2 player in Ukrainian e-commerce. As of December 1, 2025, the chain has 115 stores, employing 4,700 people. In 2024, the company paid UAH 2 billion in taxes and fees.
