"The gradual rollback of 3G technology is a multi-year project that is of great importance for the entire electronic communications industry, because thanks to it, not only does the customer experience improve and the speed of 4G increase, but the network is also being prepared for the launch of 5G technology in Ukraine. And this can be implemented, including by freeing up frequencies from outdated technologies, such as 3G," the company notes .
They also add that the trend of overusing 3G frequencies in favor of 4G has long been observed in the world. In particular, 56% of European mobile operators have already gotten rid of 3G, another 42% will do so by the end of 2025. In total, only 5% of the entire Kyivstar subscriber base still uses 3G.
