Kyivstar launches an artificial intelligence platform in its cloud, allowing it to deploy its own generative AI models

Ukrainian mobile operator Kyivstar has begun integrating artificial intelligence technologies into its own cloud platform Kyivstar Cloud. The company says that now Ukrainian businesses can deploy their AI solutions without relying on foreign suppliers.

«The integration of AI into Kyivstar Cloud is not just a technological upgrade, but another step towards strengthening Ukraine’s digital capabilities. The use of AI opens up new opportunities for Ukrainian users for automation, analytics, and the development of their own business solutions,» said Konstantin Vechir, Business Development Director for the Corporate Market at Kyivstar, in a press release.

Kyivstar Cloud is Kyivstar’s cloud platform, which offers IaaS solutions, support for hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure, backup services, AI and big data processing, and technological support for the team.

The company claims that new AI modules in Kyivstar Cloud allow:

  • Analyze large amounts of data in real time using machine learning.

  • Automate the company’s business processes (optimization of information storage and retrieval systems, analytics).

  • Deploy your own generative AI models.

  • Use ready-made tools: chatbots, content generators, recommendation systems — without the need for a separate AI team.

These tools are already available to all Kyivstar Cloud customers.

Earlier it became known that Kyivstar is buying 80% of one of the largest cloud providers in Ukraine, GigaCloud. According to the analytical department of Forbes Ukraine, GigaCloud could be worth about $10 million .

Recently, Kyivstar announced the start of the first free testing of Starlink Direct to Cell technology, which provides mobile Internet on a smartphone from a satellite, and announced when all users will have access to it.
