The new CEO of Lviv IT Cluster will likely be Mykhailo Lemak — the final decision will be made by the cluster participants by voting.
This was reported by the Telegram channel «Overheard in IT», which is run by DOU managers.
Lemak has experience in the media and creative industries. In particular, since 2017 he has been a partner of the Creative City Lviv project. In 2018, he co-founded the online magazine Creatives, and in 2018–2019 he was the managing partner of Skovoroda radio.
In addition, he previously held the position of deputy director of the magazine «RIA-Lviv».
There is currently no official confirmation of the appointment — the candidacy must be voted on among the participants of the Lviv IT Cluster.
We would like to remind you that at the end of January, the Supervisory Board of the Lviv IT Cluster decided to remove CEO Stepan Veselovsky.
The conflict has been going on since last year — the parties disagreed on the vision of the development strategy and operational processes. In addition, Veselovsky, without the consent of the board, transferred the rights to a number of key trademarks to his deputy Yuriy Ogonovsky.
Lviv IT Cluster opened a vacancy for the position of CEO in February.
