This was stated by the commander of the K-2 battalion of the 20th OBR, Hero of Ukraine Kyrylo Veres, in an interview with Roman Kravets for "Ukrainian Pravda".
Assessing the prospects for the coming months, the military officer noted that the enemy most likely has certain trump cards up his sleeve and is waiting for the right moment for new large-scale strikes.
"I wouldn't pull that ace out of my sleeve right now, I would pull it out a little later. But here the question is different: what will we do until then. I think we still have two months. Why two months? To ruin life even more times. We need to specifically 'shit up'," Veres said.
The main goal of such actions, according to the commander, is to bring the aggressor country to an understanding of the realities of war. He emphasized that the Russians should stop being interested in Ukrainian cities such as Sloviansk or Kostyantynivka and focus on their own problems.
"Many Russians are no longer interested in Slavyansk or Konstantinovka, they say to Tepper: 'Wait, where's the gas station? What's wrong? Where's the food?' That's what we need to worry about, not Slavyansk. Let them think about their cities. Let them learn the fucking map of Russia. I started learning their map, and dozens of commanders now know the map of Russia very well. Although I've never needed it in my life, and I didn't know about their existence and I don't want to know anymore," the military man said emotionally.
Veres also clarified that his unit is currently working on targets in Ukraine, since there are still enough enemy infantry "under every bush" on the front. Instead, other units of the Unmanned Systems Forces are actively engaged in strikes on targets deep inside the Russian Federation and studying Russian geography.
Kyrylo Veres also stated that the resignation of Mykhailo Fedorov from the post of Minister of Defense of Ukraine led to the fact that some projects related to K2 were temporarily put on hold. At the same time, the previous head of the defense department was remembered by the military for his exceptional involvement and willingness to promptly resolve problems on the ground without unnecessary bureaucracy.
