Tech-foundation of victory and the future: who keeps their finger on the pulse of innovation
A country’s independence today depends not only on weapons, energy, or manufacturing. It also depends on whose software a business runs on, where data is stored, who creates technologies for the front, and how quickly Ukrainian companies can replace critical foreign solutions.
In this special project, we have gathered companies and teams that are building this technological foundation — from system software and FPV drones with auto-target acquisition to quantum algorithms, inclusive teams, and underground schools. These are solutions and technologies that are already working today, and about developments on which the Ukrainian economy and its security will depend tomorrow.

Nomination 1: Digital Foundation of the Country — Linkos Group
Linkos Group has been creating domestic technological solutions for 26 years. The main advantage of Ukrainian software over foreign counterparts is a deep understanding of the local context, instant adaptation to changes in legislation, and creation of products in synergy with state digital transformations.
«The Ukrainian economy cannot be independent if critical business processes depend on someone else’s digital infrastructure. Our goal is to build our own reliable ecosystem that scales with business, removes dependence on external players, and provides end-to-end data-based automation,» emphasizes Olesya Linnyk, Founder of Linkos Group.
The company’s ecosystem covers four fundamental needs of businesses of any scale: complete abandonment of paper, direct integration with government digital services, enterprise manageability, and business continuity during force majeure.
Electronic document management and logistics. The flagship product with a 20-year history , Medoc, has transformed Ukrainian reporting from paper to digital, and its modern extension , Medoc EDO, has become a convenient web service for team work with documents from any device. As part of the state transition to e-TTN, the Medoc TTN solution digitizes freight transportation, increasing transparency and reducing companies' operating costs.
Readiness for e-audit. To prepare for new tax control standards , Medoc API SAF-T UA was created — a solution that not only combines data from different accounting systems, but also automatically generates and verifies a structured SAF-T file thanks to built-in checks.
Trade and autonomy. Cashalot software has evolved from a PRRO to a retail business management system with inventory accounting, analytics, and new payment methods. Its autonomous offline mode guarantees payments during blackouts and lack of communication with the DPS server.
Comprehensive resource automation. Linkos ERP is a new generation Ukrainian no-code platform for comprehensive business management, which will soon be released on the market. It will unite finance, logistics, HR and other key processes of the enterprise in a single digital environment. Thanks to rapid deployment, companies will be able to start working with the system without lengthy implementation. No-code tools will allow users to independently adapt the platform to their own needs, configure processes and automate operations without involving developers.
The country’s digital independence begins with the ability of businesses to rely on their own technological foundation — reliable, flexible, and adapted to Ukrainian realities. By creating such an ecosystem, Linkos Group forms the foundation for the development of enterprises and the strengthening of the Ukrainian economy.
Nomination 2: Tech-defense — Vyriy Drone
Vyriy Drone has become one of the most media-friendly and effective DefenseTech structures in Ukraine, having gone from garage assembly of drones to large-scale serial production of FPV drones with AI-based target guidance and auto-capture. The company made a breakthrough not only in hardware, but also in attracting investments: during the first day of the sale of the first Inzhur Miltech fund, created with the participation of Vyriy founder Oleksiy Babenko, retail investors bought corporate bonds worth 500 million hryvnias, and the total amount of funds raised reached 1 billion hryvnias.
This made it possible to build our own R&D units directly to meet the demands of the front and launch serial deliveries of onboard software and optical navigation systems resistant to enemy electronic warfare.
Nomination 3: Ukrainian Top Software — «Diya»
The «Diya» ecosystem from the Ministry of Digital Affairs has become the country’s main GovTech brand and an example of system software that solves national-scale tasks. Over 21 million users — more than every second Ukrainian — have digitized their daily documents and interaction with the state. Among the most popular services of the platform are automatic registration of an individual entrepreneur without the participation of an official, which has been used more than 600 thousand times, the «eRecovery» program for compensation for destroyed property, instant sharing of digital documents, Diya.Signature as the main means of e-identification, purchase of military bonds and re-registration of a car in a few clicks.
Nomination 4: Digital reconstruction — MISTO
The digital reconstruction of Ukrainian communities relies on applied Smart City solutions from the MISTO project. The team implements BIM modeling and 3D scanning technologies to create digital twins of destroyed schools, hospitals, and residential neighborhoods with an accurate calculation of the necessary building materials.
Specialized GIS platforms are being deployed in the deoccupied territories for applied mapping of water supply networks, electricity networks, and internet infrastructure, which speeds up the elimination of accidents. In addition, MISTO integrates Smart-monitoring sensors for housing and utilities to control energy consumption in reconstructed facilities and digitizes housing queues for displaced people.
Nomination 5: Re-skill & Veteran Tech — Mate academy
EdTech company Mate academy has launched a free, systemic Re-skill program to help veterans return to civilian life through the IT industry. To date, 60 veterans have graduated and are working in technology companies, and another 19 have begun or will soon begin intensive full-time training (four of them are already actively interviewing).
In parallel, 93 veterans are mastering the program at their own pace in the Flex format at a special discount. The most popular areas among students remain Data Analytics, QA-testing, Fullstack/Frontend development and Digital Marketing. Interestingly, 11 veteran graduates decided to apply their new skills in MilitaryTech. Given this request, Mate academy is deepening cooperation with defense companies and preparing a separate training course for the needs of the defense industry.
Nomination 6: Security and technological education of youth — EPAM Ukraine and savED
Thanks to the volunteer expertise of EPAM IT professionals, an official fundraising platform for the savED charity foundation was developed and launched on the AWS cloud infrastructure. This collaboration materialized into physical educational facilities: the first underground educational space was created in Pechenyhi in the Kharkiv region, a temporary school and shelter in Olshanske in the Mykolaiv region, as well as new educational spaces in Apostolovy and Kryvyi Rih.
In parallel, as part of the joint e-KIDS project, over 890 children from 8 frontline regions learned programming in Scratch in more than 130 Vulyk educational centers, maintaining access to STEM education even during alarms and blackouts.
Nomination 7: Barrier-Free Digital — SoftServe
SoftServe has a unique team of blind and visually impaired digital accessibility testing experts. Using NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver screen readers, they test mobile apps, websites, and enterprise software for major banks, retailers, and GovTech projects for compliance with international WCAG 2.1 standards.
As the demand for product accessibility auditing is growing rapidly, SoftServe has turned this practice into a social elevator: the company trains veterans with eye injuries and vision loss to become accessibility testers, providing them with adapted jobs and a stable income.
Nomination 8: Green & Resilience Tech — Capgemini Ukraine
International IT service giant Capgemini is implementing environmental and autonomy standards in Ukraine. The company’s offices and data centers have been transferred to local smart networks (Microgrids), equipped with solar power plants, industrial Energy Storage, and diesel generators for uninterrupted operation during infrastructure attacks.
In data centers, Capgemini uses server equipment with a reduced PUE coefficient and also uses digital tools to measure and minimize the carbon footprint of client systems even in times of crisis.
Nomination 9: Disruptive Innovations — Haiqu
Haiqu, a deep-tech startup founded by Ukrainians, is conquering the global arena in quantum computing. The team develops middleware and specialized quantum operating platforms (HaiquOS) that solve the main problem of quantum hardware — decoherence and high noise levels.
Haiqu algorithms make it possible to increase the performance of modern quantum processors dozens of times without expensive hardware replacement, making Ukraine a leader in global DeepTech innovations in the fields of artificial intelligence, pharmaceuticals, and materials science.
Nomination 10: Cyber Shield — ISSP
ISSP (Information Systems Security Partners) maintains the digital front, protecting government registries, the banking sector, and critical infrastructure from continuous Russian cyberattacks.
Thanks to its own 24/7 SOC (Security Operations Center) and Threat Intelligence unit, ISSP specialists monitor and neutralize highly sophisticated APT attacks by hostile hacker groups, as well as implement automated incident response, preventing the enemy from disabling the country’s energy or logistics networks.
Nomination 11: Infrastructure of Independence — GigaCloud and uCloud
Cloud operators GigaCloud and uCloud have completed a critical mission to save the country’s digital data. Thanks to the cloud migration operation, hundreds of state registries, banking databases, and corporate systems were moved to secure Tier III data centers in Western Ukraine and the EU. This created a backup digital infrastructure that cannot be destroyed by missile strikes or physical sabotage, ensuring the autonomy of Ukrainian business and the state.
Nomination 12: Data & AI for Good — Kyivstar.Tech
The IT subsidiary of the national telecom operator develops solutions for working with big data and analytics. The company helps businesses build data infrastructure, model and optimize Data Warehouse, and create BI dashboards for operational and strategic management.
Kyivstar.Tech’s own products include ADWISOR, a marketing platform with over 80 Big Data filters for audience segmentation. It uses analytics, triggers, and geolocation and can integrate with CRM/ERP systems.
