The architecture of the labor market is changing: the line between classic IT and other fields is becoming less and less visible. In 2026, the largest categories of vacancies in the Ukrainian IT market will be analytics, marketing, HR, Sales and QA, while AI/ML, Data Science and Data Engineering remain among the areas with the highest level of employment of specialists. At the same time, 30% of Ukrainian IT professionals would be ready to change their field if they were offered better conditions. So working with big data today does not necessarily mean a classic IT career. Analytics, machine learning, and AI are increasingly penetrating marketing, manufacturing, customer experience, and business operations. According to DOU, AI/ML/DS/Data Engineering specialists in 2026 are among the groups to whom recruiters write most often: 65% of Ukrainian specialists in these areas receive such messages several times a month. In the public mind, Philip Morris is a conservative tobacco giant with paper packs, distribution trucks, and classic marketing from the last century. But behind the corporate facade, the company has long lived by the laws of the technology business: they work with billions of data points, build ML models, and gradually integrate generative AI into business processes. All product and marketing hypotheses at Philip Morris are based on a foundation maintained by a team led by Dmitry Sitenko, senior manager of customer experience management. In a partner article, he told dev.ua how data shapes the company’s agenda and helps solve customer pain points.

A country’s independence today depends not only on weapons, energy, or manufacturing. And what is important — all of our heroes still work for the company, despite numerous attempts by competitors to lure them away, and even return to UNITY-BARS from international employers.

Developer with 5 years of experience Andriy moved from Zaporizhia to the capital with the beginning of a full-scale invasion. For three years, the man and his family lived in rented housing, and now he intends to buy his own apartment. Currently, he is interested in a two-room apartment with a large kitchen in a new residential complex. IT-specialists has a limited budget, and wants to choose the best option in terms of price and quality. Currently, he has the most questions about the reliability of the developer and the ability to move into a new home immediately after purchase.

He estimates the IT education market in Ukraine at 2.5–5 billion hryvnias. And although the niche is clearly saturated with competition, he calls it a clearly profitable and promising business.

Cybersecurity is definitely the topic of the year in IT, although the latest attack on government registries has shown that this topic is still not given enough attention in our society.

Ukrainian IT is primarily known for service giants and world-renowned manufacturers of hardware solutions. However, the kaleidoscope of companies that create the IT ecosystem in Ukraine is huge — from small product studios that few people have heard of to point outsourcers that often serve a small number of clients. And it is also worth talking about them, so that in the difficult current market, the people of Haiti have more chances to find a decent job and thereby support the country’s economy. Today, dev.ua will tell you about the IT people who have been collected by the company SharksCode («Sharkscode») for several years. We visited the capital office of SharksCode, talked with SharksCode specialists and found out how life is arranged in the company.

Супераппка, яка є корисною під час походу до магазину, замовлення квитків, дитячих товарів, ліків, послуг мобільних операторів чи страхування — чи не мрія для юзерів, які невтомно гортають смартфони в пошуках потрібного сервісу? За рік зручність такого додатка змогли оцінити понад мільйон користувачів. Понад 30 опцій доступні в застосунку, що може замінити собою десятки іконок на дисплеї смартфону, які постійно доводиться шукати.  dev.ua дізнався, як з’явився цей суперапп, хто його створював і які плани розвитку продукту.

Життя digital-агенції — це щоденні виклики. Креативникам доводиться працювати з абсолютно різними клієнтами. І запити також можуть сильно відрізнятися один від одного. Тому під кожного клієнта треба вміти підлаштовуватися. І головне — залишатися людиною. Тоді й у відповідь є великий шанс отримати людське ставлення й гарні результати співпраці.

В Україні станом на 25 липня 2024 року нараховується 1,3 млн ветеранів. Таку цифру назвав заступник міністра у справах ветеранів України Руслан Приходько. За його словами, портрет ветерана в Україні докорінно змінюється. Тому йдеться передусім про відновлення ментального та фізичного здоров’я воїна, а також забезпечення житлом і мінімумом, необхідним для того, щоб людина могла одразу повернутися до цивільного життя. 

Нещодавно dev.ua розповідав, як влаштований IT-підрозділ української «дочки» найбільшого банку Польщі PKO Bank Polski ― Кредобанку. Сьогодні розповідаємо, як влаштована операційна вертикаль фінустанови, яку функцію виконуватимуть у банку роботи і як у компанії розвивають працівників. 

Артур Цесляр  (Artur Cieslar), заступник голови правління Кредобанку, що керує IT-напрямом фінустанови, щоранку сідає на велосипед і проїжджає 30 км. Після такого тренування він, уже заряджений позитивом, прямує на роботу, де допомагає майже 200 айтівцям банку створювати продукти та рішення для задоволення клієнтів.  Артур ― випускник Львівської політехніки. Довгий час він працював у європейських страхових компаніях, а майже п’ять років тому отримав оффер від найбільшого банку Польщі — PKO Bank Polski, де йому запропонували очолити IT в дочірньому Кредобанку, що працює в Україні.

Щомісяця кияни, мешканці Дніпропетровщини та Донеччини, а також бізнеси по всій Україні отримують платіжки від YASNO за електроенергію чи газ, що споживають в процесі життєдіяльності. І зазвичай цифри, зазначені у них, мало що говорять користувачам. Та насправді, аби дістати ці цифри, у білінговому центрі YASNO працюють десятки висококваліфікованих спеціалістів, які намагаються налаштувати систему обліку споживання так, аби у споживачів не виникало запитань до оператора, а бізнес працював чітко, як годинник. Цей підрозділ у компанії жартома називають «мозком» YASNO, адже правильно налаштовані білінгові системи суттєво спрощують процес обліку спожитих ресурсів та мінімізують втручання сюди людини. 

Український мобільний оператор «Київстар» пройшов майже 30-річний шлях від одного з перших українських tech-стартапів під пильним наглядом норвежців до величезної компанії, яка забезпечує передачу інформації для майже кожного другого українця в мобільних мережах.

August 2023 was an important milestone in the career of Ukrainian IT specialist Pavlo Martinovych — he was appointed Head of Product at the American fintech startup upSWOT, which has attracted over $4 million in investment and is already working with leading US banks.
