Fire Point's chief designer called for wiping Russia's Lubyanka off the face of the earth
Denis Shtilerman, co-owner and chief designer of the Ukrainian company Fire Point, known for its Flamingo missiles, believes that the Defense Forces should strike the Russian General Staff and other facilities in Moscow because the Russians don’t care what happens in their other regions.
Denis Shtilerman, co-owner and chief designer of the Ukrainian company Fire Point, known for its Flamingo missiles, believes that the Defense Forces should strike the Russian General Staff and other facilities in Moscow because the Russians don’t care what happens in their other regions.
He told this in an interview with Dmitry Gordon. According to Shtilerman, the Russian army is not able to shoot down ballistic missiles because they did not have the relevant experience before.
«They will learn to intercept ballistics someday, but that will be sometime. The first [missiles] should go in just like children go to school,» said Denis Shtilerman.
According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine should strike where it will be felt by the Russians.
«My opinion as an ordinary citizen… Lubyanka should be wiped off the face of the earth. There is a huge number there — the General Staff, the Ministry of Defense, the Moscow Refinery, Almaz-Antey, some Khrunichev, Zirka-Strela…», says the Fire Point designer.
He added that Russia is a monocentric country, in which everything is concentrated in the capital.
«What’s happening in Belgorod has no effect on the mood of Russia. What’s happening in Kaluga, Ryazan, Tula is irrelevant to them. They don’t see it, they don’t feel it,» explained Shtilerman.
Earlier, the Fire Point designer spoke about the production and testing of the FP-7 missiles with a range of 300 km. According to him, the FP-7 is an analogue of the American ATACMS missile, but half the price. In an interview with Gordon, Denis Shtilerman specified that the cost of the FP-7 is up to $500,000.
He also reported that the development of the FP-9 missile, which can reach Moscow, should be completed in mid-2026.
