The Supervisory Board of the Lviv IT Cluster officially introduced the organization's new CEO, Mykhailo Lemak. He was selected from more than twenty applicants during an open competition that lasted several months. The new leader officially took up his duties today, July 8.

"The selection took place according to a transparent procedure in three stages, which included an assessment of managerial experience, professional competencies and strategic vision for the development of the organization, as well as a set of value characteristics," Lviv IT Cluster noted .
What is known about the new CEO?
Mykhailo Lemak is a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war with over 20 years of experience in the public, private and public sectors. His portfolio includes project management in the media, creative industries and urban innovation sectors, as well as developing strategic initiatives for Lviv. After the start of the full-scale invasion, Mykhailo defended the country in the ranks of the Defense Forces, and later coordinated digitalization in public administration bodies directly in the zone of active hostilities.
"It was the combination of strategic management vision, understanding of the innovation environment, working with teams in transformational conditions, and involvement in the development of city and national initiatives that became key factors in the decision-making process by the Supervisory Board," added Lviv IT Cluster.

At the end of January, the Supervisory Board of the Lviv IT Cluster decided to remove CEO Stepan Veselovsky.
The conflict has been going on since last year - the parties disagreed on the vision of the development strategy and operational processes. In addition, Veselovsky, without the consent of the board, transferred the rights to a number of key trademarks to his deputy Yuriy Ogonovsky.
Lviv IT Cluster opened a vacancy for the position of CEO in February.
