Kyiv-based IT company MacPaww has published an annual report on the impact of its products for 2025. What Moonlock, ClearVPN, and the new AI assistant Eney with local-first architecture have achieved.
MacPaw’s in-house developed Moonlock antivirus engine detected over 60 million macOS threats in 2025. In parallel, the company’s cybersecurity education initiatives reached 12 million people through publications, guides, and digital literacy tools.
MacPaw users have removed over 125TB of digital junk from their devices — cache, duplicates, unnecessary files. The company presents this not only as a matter of performance, but also of environmental impact: longer equipment life means less e-waste.
Over 203,000 Ukrainians have received free access to ClearVPN since 2022. The service provides a secure and open internet — especially where access to information is limited or unsafe.
At the heart of MacPaw’s product strategy is its AI assistant Eney, built on the local-first principle: data is processed on the user’s device and not transferred to external servers. The company positions this as a response to growing privacy concerns in the era of mass AI. «As technology and AI continue to transform the way people live and work, we believe that companies have a responsibility not only to create products, but also to shape sustainable ecosystems that create long-term value for society,» says Oleksandr Kosovan, founder and CEO of MacPaw, in the report.
