This was announced by the founder and CEO of MacPaw, Oleksandr Kosovan, who is a graduate of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
"That's why it's especially symbolic for me that MacPaw is opening an AI lab in my native KPI. Not as another 'official project', but as a platform where students, teachers, and researchers will be able to do what really makes sense. Experiment. Make mistakes. And move technologies forward. I believe that the future of Ukrainian innovations is born precisely in such places - between formality and freedom, between 'this is how it should be' and 'let's try it'," wrote Oleksandr Kosovan in his Facebook post.
Previously, Director of AI at MacPaw Volodymyr Kubitsky said that the AI lab will discuss trends and technology news, hold practical workshops, hackathons, and AI events (including defense-related ones), create collaborations, and exchange experiences with representatives of the AI industry.
The AI Lab opening will take place on November 6, at 5:00 PM. The event will feature hands-on presentations, networking, and an exhibition of vintage Apple equipment.
