This weekend, October 10 and 11, an open testing of the Ukrainian online game Mad Dvizhuha: Benzovoz, made in the retro style of the first PlayStation, is taking place. The game is based on a confrontation on the Crimean Bridge between an FPV drone and a gasoline truck, the body of which is protected from attacks by an old woman with a gun.
"There is a bridge. No one pronounces its name. Every day a gas truck tries to pass, and every day someone launches a cheap FPV drone to prevent this from happening. But one survived," the project’s description on Steam says.
Mad Dvizhuha: Benzovoz is a 1v1 dueling indie action game. Players switch roles each round, and the match itself lasts for a series of 10 or 20 rounds. Matches can be played in public or private rooms with keyboard and gamepad support.
One of the participants drives a 6×6 fuel truck, which must be driven across the bridge, scattering everything in its path. Among the game mechanics of protection for the truck, smoke screens, electronic warfare systems, as well as the ability to fire from a rifle on behalf of the passenger are available. The equipment has zone-based damage to the cabin, wheels and tank.
The other player takes on the role of an FPV drone operator with a HUD and analog signal jammers. The drone can be controlled in either Arcade or Realism modes, and up to 8 drones can be used in a single match. Additionally, the player can summon a “gang of pit bike guys” to drain fuel from a fuel truck. Random weather conditions, such as wind and rain, also affect the race.
The full release of the game is scheduled for November 2026. You can join the playtest on the project page on Steam by clicking the "Request Access" button.
