Such data was provided on his social media channel by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmantsev.
«This gap is not only a tax issue, but also the risks of criminal prosecution (Article 301 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),» commented Hetmantsev, referring to the criminal liability for the production and sale of pornographic materials, which is still in effect in Ukraine.
He recalled that a bill to decriminalize pornography, which is the most popular source of income for OnlyFans, has already been registered in parliament, and he consistently supports its early adoption.
«This is about honesty, tax discipline, and new revenues to the budget. Because taxes are not about fear, but about responsibility. And it should be open, humane, and without double standards,» the head of the tax committee stated.
Previously, rough estimates showed that more than 5,000 Ukrainian models who create paid content on the OnlyFans online platform earned about $123 million in income during 2020–2022.
