"Diia" is creating a national map of the xPON network: data from Internet providers is currently being collected

What is the use of a map?

As explained by the Ministry of Digital Affairs, the map in «Diia» will allow users to check the energy independence of the Internet in their home, find providers by address, see the network’s outage time, and leave feedback.

This tool will help providers attract new subscribers, regularly update coverage data, and compete in a transparent market.

These statistics will allow the state to see weak spots in coverage and effectively plan network development, particularly in frontline regions.

Today, 54% of subscribers use xPON, and more than 1,200 providers provide services. During blackouts, the demand for such Internet increases almost twice. The highest level of coverage is in Vinnytsia, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Cherkasy and Volyn regions.

How to reach providers

1. The provider needs to register or log in to their personal account on the «Diia» portal .
2. Then select the " Provider Map» service.
3. Fill out the application form: provide company and representative information, add addresses for subscriber connection, and specify geocoding points for display on the map.
4. Sign the application and package of documents with a qualified electronic signature.
5. Next, you should receive a notification via email and in the «Please Note» section.

«As soon as providers share data and most addresses appear on the map, it will become available to all Ukrainians in the country. We urge all xPON providers to join the project and provide coverage information,» the ministry emphasized.

We will remind you that the creation of the map was announced back in December. At that time, it was said that it would contain information about:

• xPON providers that serve a specific house or street;
• the presence of xPON technology, which provides Internet without electricity;
• network operation time during power outages (for example, 4, 8, or 72 hours).
