The concept of the front line in modern warfare is very blurred. When drones fly dozens of kilometers behind the "front line", the military requires solutions that will provide maximum protection for UAV crews. The answer to this challenge was the Adis heavy drone-bomber from Martyn Tech.
The fundamental advantage of Adis is its satellite-based control. This removes traditional radio horizon limitations and allows pilots to remain at a safe distance, even thousands of kilometers from the front line. It also allows for missions that are not available to radio-based drones.
"Adis is not just a new drone, it is a logical evolution of our line. It was created at a direct request from the front to perform complex strike missions, mining and logistics, in conditions of limited radio horizon. The drone is also integrated into combat scenarios that will inflict critical losses on the enemy, but we will be able to talk about them only after our victory," said Ilya Samoshkin, head of MartynTech.
The combat radius of the Adis drone is 20 km with a payload of 10 kg. At the same time, during tests, the UAV exceeded this indicator, carrying a load of 12 kg for 20 km, and also flew with a weight of 3 kg for a distance of 50 km. The UAV can be continuously in the air for about an hour on a single battery charge, and the total range and duration of the flight are limited solely by the capacity of the batteries.
The modular design allows you to quickly re-equip the board for different types of tasks:
Strike missions: Dropping various types of ammunition on enemy positions, equipment, and manpower;
Precision mining: Thanks to the ability to land at any point along the route, Adis allows for remote and high-precision minefields to be laid on enemy logistical routes;
Secure Logistics: Drones are the ideal tool for securing forward positions. They are capable of delivering critical cargo (water, food, medicine, ammunition) discreetly and without the risk of damage during delivery, which is vital for hard-to-reach positions.
The flight characteristics of the Adis are optimized for night and covert operations. Its cruising speed is 65 km/h, and the "working" flight altitude is 400 meters. However, if necessary, the quadcopter easily reaches a speed of 90 km/h and can climb to a much higher altitude. This makes it practically invisible and inaudible to the enemy in the dark, guaranteeing the effect of surprise. For effective search and identification of targets, the developers have integrated a high-quality dual camera. Thanks to it, the operator receives a clear picture and can detect objects at a distance of up to 600 meters during daylight hours, and up to 150 meters at night.
"The drone was named after a serviceman of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians. The soldier with the call sign Adis died in June 2022 in the Donetsk region, defending Ukraine from Russian aggression. The drone named after him has already been codified and will soon be available for order on marketplace Brave1 Market and DOT-Chain Defence,” MartynTech added.
