«We will make the new X algorithm public, including all the code used to determine which organic and sponsored posts are recommended to users, in 7 days,» Musk wrote on his own X social network page.
He also added that this will be repeated every four weeks with comprehensive developer notes to help users understand what has changed.
Reuters notes that last July, the Paris prosecutor’s office investigated the social network X on suspicion of «algorithmic bias and fraudulent data extraction.»
In response, Musk called the investigation «politically motivated,» claiming it threatened the freedom of speech of its users.
Earlier this week, the European Commission decided to extend the data retention order sent to social network X last year, which concerned algorithms and the distribution of illegal content, until the end of 2026.
