As the publication notes, during a recent meeting, Volodymyr Zelenskyy appealed to Donald Trump with a request to influence Musk. Ukraine seeks to use SpaceX's satellite network to precisely destroy ballistic missile launchers that systematically bombard Kyiv and other cities. However, Trump refrained from making clear promises.
After his resignation, Mikhail Fedorov tried to resolve this issue through unofficial channels of communication directly with the owner of SpaceX, but Musk remains adamant.
"There is no positive decision at this point," one of the informed sources told the publication on Wednesday.
According to the interlocutors, in disputes with Fedorov, Elon Musk constantly appeals to the risk of further escalation from Russia and convinces that "the time has come to negotiate."
Neither Elon Musk nor SpaceX representatives have yet responded to journalists' requests for comment.
