Following the launch of OpenAI’s GPT-5, Elon Musk warned that «OpenAI will eat Microsoft alive,» responding to a post by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella on X (Twitter), writes Windows Central.
In the post, he announced the launch of an improved model across the company’s technology stack, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot, GitHub Copilot, and Azure AI Foundry.
«People have been trying for 50 years, and that’s the fun of it! Every day you learn something new, innovate, collaborate and compete,» Nadella dismissed Musk.
He added that he is excited about «Grok 4 on Azure» and is looking forward to Grok 5.
«You know, I don’t think much of him. I thought he just spent all day tweeting about how OpenAI sucks and how our model is bad and, you know, [we] won’t be a good company and all that,» OpenAI head Sam Altman commented on Musk’s comments.
Elon Musk previously claimed that the Grok-4 Heavy model was smarter than GPT-5 two weeks before its release, and has improved significantly since then. He also announced that Grok-4 will now be available for free to all users.
