Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence startup xAI has opened up the source code for its Grok 2.5 model and plans to do the same with the Grok 3 model in about six months.
The billionaire announced this in his post on the social platform X.
«The Grok 2.5 model, which was our best model last year, is now open. Grok 3 will be open in about six months,» Musk wrote.
Recall that on March 17, 2024, Musk published the open source code of the older version of the Grok chatbot. At the time, this was perceived as a step in the struggle for control over the future of AI.
