The Apex Talent Foundation, an educational foundation engaged in the development of young STEM talents, with the support of the Foundation of the President of Ukraine for the Support of Education, Science and Sports, is launching the Apex XY educational program at the national level.
The program started with a pilot in the summer of 2026, with 31 students participating, 96,8% of whom successfully completed the course, and 95% expressed a desire to continue their studies. Based on these results, the foundation decided to scale the program nationwide.
What Apex XY offers
By September 26, the organization will select over 100 scholarship recipients from 8th and 9th grade students from all over Ukraine. In addition to advanced mathematics, participants will study English with native speakers, and a separate North Star block involves interaction with entrepreneurs and innovators — mentors include, in particular, Esper Bionics CEO Dmytro Gazda and co-founder of the KOLO tech charity foundation Igor Sokolov.
The format is hybrid: the main part of the course will be held online, which allows children from any region to join, and monthly offline community meetings will be held in educational centers based on polytechnic universities in Kyiv, Lviv, Dnipro, Vinnytsia, Kharkiv, and Poltava. According to the foundation, this should solve the problem of unequal access to strong teachers and clubs, which are currently concentrated mainly in Kyiv and several large cities — although, according to statistics from regional administrations, about 15 thousand talented students are identified in Ukraine every year.
Apex Talent Foundation CEO Ulyana Avtonomova explains the program’s goal as follows: “Our goal is to help those who really want to learn and make an effort.” According to her, the foundation strives to build a community of gifted youth with common values, where learning will be challenging but exciting.
Apex Talent Foundation was founded by Ulyana Avtonomova in the spring of 2026. In addition to Apex XY, the foundation’s projects include a professional development school for mathematics teachers, an offline camp for the best graduates of pilot programs, and the Ukrainian-language Apex Minds mathematical problem database, which is currently under development.
The Foundation of the President of Ukraine for the Support of Education, Science and Sports is a state institution that supports talented Ukrainians through scholarships and Presidential awards, international educational programs, and the development of digital products in the fields of education, science, and sports.
