Swedish EdTech startup with Ukrainian roots memoryOS, which creates an application to improve memory, announced that it has attracted investments from Flyer One Ventures, SID Venture Partners, Vesna Capital, Angel One, as well as business angel Anthony Brenninkmeier.
The startup noted that this happened thanks to TRMNL4, an educational ecosystem in Central and Eastern Europe that brings together founders, investors, and the experience of international companies such as Meta, AWS, and Notion. It was created by IT company Genesis in 2023.
The size of the investment is not specified, but AIN notes that the average Angel One check is about $200,000.
«The investment in memoryOS is consistent with our strategy of supporting technology solutions with Ukrainian roots that have strong potential for scaling and global competitiveness,» said Ivan Petrenko, Managing Partner of Angel One Fund.
memoryOS combines gamification, artificial intelligence, and scientifically proven memory techniques to improve users' cognitive abilities. By making advanced mnemonic techniques accessible to a wide audience, the startup helps transfer necessary information from short-term memory to long-term memory.
«This support opens the next chapter for memoryOS as we prepare to launch a completely new version of the app, including: smoother navigation, personalized learning based on artificial intelligence, smarter skill tracking, and new ways to connect with the community,» memoryOS commented on the funding.
The company says that since the product launch, monthly active users have grown 12x in just six months, then doubled again the following year. Revenue has grown 27x in the first six months, and then another 4,5x in the year.
«This latest round of investment will allow us to continue developing our platform and bring our transformative approach to memory improvement to even more users around the world,» said Alex Rouge, CEO of memoryOS.
